Outside the Bubble: The People Speak
Do you believe in the bubble, that the elite including their media are in one place, not realizing the people outside think differently?
If you do, here are facts to back you up.
Only 51% of voters approve of President Biden’s performance in office. This is the RealClearPolitics average of most recent polls. In the much-respected latest Gallup poll, Biden is at 50% approval and 45% disapproval — down from 57% approval and 37% disapproval at the start of his term.
Worse, Biden has a big problem with independents. The Gallup poll has him dropping from 61% at the beginning of his presidency to 48%, for the first time at “less-than-majority approval.”
Also bad for the President: an ABC News/Ipsos poll says that among independents Biden's approval for handling the economy is below 50%. For the issues of immigration, crime, and gun violence, it is in the 30s.
But worst of all for Biden, says the Washington Examiner’s Byron York, is Gallup’s answer to: "Thinking about the next 12 months, would you say you feel optimistic or pessimistic about the ways things are going in this country?"
At the end of April, 64% said they felt optimistic, versus 36% who felt pessimistic. Today, just 45% feel optimistic, versus 55% who feel pessimistic. So people lack confidence things will get better.
A “Yahoo!entertainment” poll offers additional bad news for our elite:
67% of whites, 64% of black voters, 66% of Hispanics and 62% of other minorities think Congress should investigate the 2020 riots in U.S. cities. 75% of Republicans, 60% of Democrats and 63% of [independents] say Congress should investigate last year’s violent protests. But just 49% support House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s partisan investigation of the Jan. 6 riots.
On handling Covid, a recent Rasmussen poll shows 55% agreeing that “despite good intentions, shutting down businesses and locking down society did more harm than good.” Only 38% disagreed. And check the racial breakdown among progressives: white Democrats rejected saying lockdowns did more harm than good by a 30%+ margin, but non-white Democrats divided evenly.
The racial divide widens further on the question of whether government officials will hold too much power in the future: 62% of voters say yes, as nearly two-thirds of white Democrats said no. Yet by a whopping 64%-27% margin, black Democrats broke with whites, fearing officials will abuse their new Covid-related powers.
According to the New York Post’s Glenn Harlan Reynolds, it seems that as Democrats become a white metropolitan class party nursing their government-dependent clients, Republicans are gaining as the multiracial, working class party.
Fox News’ Liz Peek’s report on the latest Economist/YouGov poll offers another jolt for the “inside the bubble" elite:
1. 39% of those polled think Joe Biden says what he believes; 44% think he says what people want to hear;
2. 38% are confident "in Joe Biden’s ability to deal wisely with an international crisis," while 46% are "uneasy";
3. 41% think Joe Biden is "honest and trustworthy" but 42% thinks he is not;
4. People are split on whether Biden “cares about people like you” [45% yes, 44% no, with only 41% Midwesteners and 40% in the South thinking he cares];
5. Only 21% think Biden can bring the country together; 53% do not.
Biden is a disaster and most people know it. Can we reverse the curse? Time will tell but the DS is pushing all out to steal every right they can from us as fast as possible fueled by Covid fears and mandates. Thanks for posting.
