Cable News: Sorta FOX News
FOX has increased its domination of cable news ratings. Its top two shows, "Tucker Carlson Tonight" and "The Five", nearly double the audience of their MSNBC and CNN competitors combined. The competition is so weak that "Fox Primetime," at 7 pm Eastern with no permanent anchor -- hosts rotate weekly -- handily beat the combined total for both Joy Reid (MSNBC) and Erin Burnett (CNN).
"Fox Primetime's" audience meant every show in the 4 pm to midnight line-up -- every show including non-prime Cavuto at 4 pm and Gutfeld at 11 pm -- topped the highest rated non-FOX show (MSNBC's "Rachel Maddow").
CNN had no primetime show with an audience over 870,000. The one-time cable news standared finished behind both FOX and MSNBC in every hour.
