“The Election was Rigged"
Jeremy Carl, at the conservative Claremont Institute and a Trump administration deputy assistant secretary, writes that "the election was rigged” is the one thing social media and the powers that be will not allow to be said.
But Carl adds, the “more depressing truth” is that “[t]hey rigged the election in front of our very eyes because we weren’t smart enough, tough enough, and most importantly, not powerful enough to stop them. That’s something we desperately need to fix.” He believes Senators Ted Cruz (R-Tx.), Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) and Rand Paul (R-Ky.), three of the progressives’ targets, are vital to the fix.
Carl’s points:
The voter registration and the voting process was rigged. Facebook helped register over 4.4 million voters, slanted to Democrats. Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg spent nearly $500 million on “election technology” overwhelmingly in Democratic areas. Michael Bloomberg spent $100 million on Democrats’ get-out-the-vote efforts in Florida.
The tech platforms were rigged. Facebook and Twitter deplatformed influential Trump supporters. Reddit took down the most popular Trump forums. Platforms publicly challenged the president’s statements. Twitter froze the New York Post’s story on Hunter Biden, while Facebook censored it from newsfeeds. Big Tech later banned Trump himself. Researcher Robert Epstein is working on Google search engine manipulation.
The debates were rigged. The Presidential Debate Commission had no Trump supporters, explaining moderators’ bias.
The public polls were rigged, which influenced private pollsters. As in 2016, they underestimated Trump’s support and built a narrative unfavorable to him. GOP pollsters were more accurate.
The media was rigged. Having pushed the Russian collusion theory for four years, media then failed to ask Biden basic questions concerning his mental acuity or his views on policy. They didn’t touch Biden’s almost 50-year record, including scandals.
The handling of COVID was rigged. “Two weeks to slow the spread” became months of lockdowns devastating to small businesses, a powerful Trump constituency, while Biden’s Big Tech backers made billions and his government employee supporters including teachers’ unions still drew paychecks. Leading institutions backed months of Black Lives Matter demonstrations, including public health officials during the pandemic. Corporations gave BLM organizations $10 billion. BLM unchecked power energized Democrats while authorities’ inaction demoralized Republicans.
Carl points to “one power left”—what Czech dissident playwright and later prime minister Vaclav Havel called, “The Power of the Powerless.” Refuse to live the lie and in fact, “live in truth.” Havel’s call, even against tremendous resistance, will be essential.
