How did we arrive at this mess?

On the economy, the University of Michigan's Index of Consumer Sentiment hit its lowest point ever in June. The Index began in 1966.

On June 30, 2018, President Trump had a RealClearPolitics average unfavorable rating of -8.5%. That was terrible, but typical for him.

On June 30, 2022, President Biden has a RealClearPolitics average unfavorable rating of -19.4%.

Why?

Back to the beginning. The real beginning. In Genesis, God creates the world, including humans. God is beyond understanding, we are humble, imperfect creatures. We remain not so far from the cave people, in awe of natural powers beyond comprehension, a part of the world’s Great Religions.

But right away, the serpent in the Garden of Eden taught Eve and humankind the alternate religion, humans as gods with the knowledge to separate good from evil. Kings. Emperors. Priests. Philosophers. War generals. Marxists. Dictators able to use that power.

Humility leads to belief in equality. Human godlike power leads to hierarchy, increasing inequality, and exploitation of evil, as in “absolute power corrupts absolutely.”

Barack Obama emerged as America’s human god in 2008. His influence rolled through the Democratic Party to the nation. After Obama lost the House in 2010, he shifted focus to racism to hold together his anti-white male “majority of minorities — people of color, white unmarried women, white youth, sexual diversity” that beat Mitt Romney in 2012. It lost both the House and Senate two years later.

Obama hoped to prolong his influence as he left Washington, but ally Hillary Clinton shockingly lost the 2016 electoral vote to Donald Trump, even receiving less than half the popular vote. Democrats did return in 2020 following a dishonest-media-led, Covid re-engineered, anti-Trump campaign that gave Obama’s Vice President the White House and his party Congress.

Obama-influenced racist, negative leadership has failed the country. Heavy spending caused inflation. A Green-forced refusal to lay pipe or drill for oil and gas sent fuel prices to all-time highs. Leaving Afghanistan without a plan crippled our foreign policy. An open border means cartels free to send criminals and people-murdering Fentanyl throughout the nation. A complete misunderstanding of what minorities want led progressives to trigger an anti-police crime wave damaging to blacks and unwelcomed by other minorities. Now, steps to counter inflation threaten a job-killing recession.

Obamaism has exhausted even Democrats. Hope and Change lie elsewhere.
