Do not bear false witness against your neighbor.
Democratic movers and shakers are obsessed with climate change and sermonize about ending fossil fuels. Diversity, equity, and inclusion -- all mandated equality-of-result agendas -- are their cultural religion, along with transgender advocacy, and abortion on demand in all 50 states.
— Victor Davis Hanson, Hoover Institution
Our atheist elite doesn’t believe in after-life judgments, or reincarnation to a higher life. Rather, in a democracy where the majority are supposedly sovereign, this ruling minority caught up in the moment, worries their high position is temporary, facing constant challenge. To stay on top, “the ends justify the means.” The ends justify lying.
Michael Boskin of Stanford, a former Council of Economic Advisors chair, challenges elected leaders instead to pursue a positive goal: “restore citizens’ faith in the superiority of capitalist democracy.”
The tissue connecting free enterprise, democracy, and religious morality is “postponement of gratification.” Faith in the future. Provide children education and a code to live by, work hard, save for tomorrow, actions sustained by love, the unproven force for good. Our atheist elite does strive to benefit family as well as self, but won't preach similar virtues for the rest of us.
America's secular elite has its own religion: three Absolutes (as suggested by Apocalypse Never's Michael Shellenberger as well as Hanson -- see above):
I. Eliminate fossil fuels (thereby undermining free enterprise).
II. Pursue 100% racial equity (assuring permanent power, since that goal is unattainable).
III. Guarantee body autonomy (abort fetus, change sex—permissive mandates).
Everything else is Relative, underpinned by lies. Examples:
- leaking secret information to friendly media.
- using unionized teachers, no parents involved, to re-write American history.
- pushing “small” Constitution fixes (admit new states, end filibuster, end electoral college, pack Supreme Court).
- censoring other side’s “misinformation” and “disinformation”.
- claiming violence-inducing words come only from the right.
- legalizing marijuana, the gateway drug.
- “re-imagining” police power and bail.
- excusing crime stemming from broken childhoods.
- treating borders and prisons as artificial constructs.
- preserving guns for lawbreakers, not for law-abiding.
- calling picture IDs voter suppression.
- buying elections with massive negative ad spending.
- paying government poll workers to generate Democratic votes.
- staffing a Department of (unequal) “Justice” with its own Secret Police.
